Loud Blasts and Smoke Witnessed in Central Tehran
As per on-the-ground reports, two loud blasts were audible in the city on Saturday morning. Simultaneously, two plumes of dense smoke were observed billowing over the centre and east of the city.
“The type of explosions indicates that this is a missile attack,” a media outlet reported, though it did not immediately offer additional information.

This event occurs against a background of severely escalated tensions in the Middle East. Major developments preceding this strike include:
- US Military Buildup: A significant build-up of American warships in the Middle East, featuring the movement of carrier strike groups.
- Diplomatic Negotiations: Latest discussions between the United States and Iran on Tehran's atomic program concluded without a deal, with suggestions of more talks scheduled.
- Official Rhetoric: Prior to the strike, a prominent American figure had labeled Iran as “the leading state sponsor of terrorism” and delivered warnings regarding its missile program.
- Ultimatum: Allegedly, a time limit of roughly two weeks had been presented to Iran to settle the atomic standoff or confront severe consequences.
Iranian Response
In response to prior accusations, Iranian authorities had charged the United States of spreading “falsehoods” about its missiles programme. Officials dismissed claims about weapons development and protest deaths as baseless.
These developments is fluid, with further updates expected as the situation develops.
