I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
